The 2007 racing video game Sonic Rivals 2 is a follow-up to the 2006 title Sonic Rivals. Backbone Entertainment created the game, which Sega Studio USA oversaw, for the PlayStation Portable portable gaming system. The release of Sonic Rivals 2 took place between November and December 2007.

There are four primary single-player modes in Sonic Rivals 2. The primary single-player mode is Story Mode. To progress the story, players must complete all of the fight styles and stages in the game. Except for the last zone, each zone contains three acts and a boss. There are four teams made up of the characters, and each team has a unique plot. Free Play is a brand-new option that the game offers. Players may choose any one of the eight characters in this single-player game and go through the zones in the familiar 2D Sonic style. Additionally, they may attempt time-attacking or searching for the ten hidden Chao in each level. There aren’t any rivals in this mode.
