InuYasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale is a 2D fighting game based on the manga and anime series Inuyasha. It consists of battles and minigames in an effort to retrieve shards of the sacred Jewel of Four Souls, essentially following the overall plot of the series. The game makes use of a simple fighting game engine developed by Dimps; the control scheme is often standard for most 2D plane fixed-floor fighters (e.g. Street Fighter), only nearly every command is mapped to one button (such as a dash button, a weak and strong attack button, and a button for special moves). This very setup is also used in games such as Shaman King: Spirit of Shamans (also developed by Dimps). Combo strings are also available with varying branched-inputs.
